  • Miguel de los Rios is Colombian Digital artist with over 8 years of experience in the animation and VFX world. He has worked in 5 different countries (Spain, Colombia, Germany, China, and USA) in a variety of projects from mid to short animated films, live action shorts, music videos, and advertisement projects.
    He received a Bachelors in Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art, in Baltimore, MD, and soon started working as a lighting artist, and eventually moved to compositing and 3D integration, to later become a VFX supervisor, while still working as a compositor.

    Digital Artist and VFX Producer, classically trained in fine arts. Currently living in Spain and open to relocate. Specialized in supervising rendering and compositing for 3D animation and VFX. Over 7 years of professional experience as a 3D artist (lighting and render), compositor, and color grading artist for advertisements, music videos, and short films.

Figueroa.  As the Lead Compositor, I was responsible for the main shots and for breaking down the work-load amongst the team. I  supervised a team of up to 13 freelance compositors, and managed the pipeline between 3D artists, compositors, and the Editing and Color Departments. Over the past year I’ve also been working as a color grading artist using a Davinci Resolve 8 workstation.
